Parisian Street Style in the Streets of LA
Are you looking to expand the “street style” in your wardrobe? Do you want new pieces, new tops, new bottoms that actually look and feel, well, new? That’s what we offer. Here at Les Fantome Palette, we offer rebellious fashion that will stand out in any environment, no matter where you wear it. While we do believe that our clothing is “rebellious,” we do have any number of influences, of styles that our clothing is built and based upon. One of those: Parisian street style. That, perhaps as much as anything else, is in Les Fantome Palette’s DNA.
An Updated Definition of Parisian Street Style
Obviously, the “street style of Paris” is one of those things that there’s no real, great definition of. That said, we did recently come across a great definition from the magazine “Leonce Chenal.” It said “Parisian style is all about effortless, basic clothes… accessorization of outfits is kept to a minimum and the overall look is simple and clean. Parisians are never overdone or overdressed. And while this style may seem easy to reproduce, making a fashion statement while being a minimalist requires a particular style-savviness; think of it as a kind of art. Wear what you love and keep it simple, that is the Parisian way.” We couldn’t agree more.
Mixed with Los Angeles
All of the above having been said, that’s not exactly how we feel about our own clothing. Yes, Les Fantome Palette makes a fashion statement, it does include a “particular style-savviness,” and it is “a kind of art.” We always endeavor to wear what we love and keep it simple, but we also add to regular designs and give them something different, something truly innovative. Indeed, that’s part of what’s so great about being based out of LA. Our location has the kind of liberty to carry both eccentric designs as well as a vast freedom.
“Dark Metal Fashion”
That’s another phrase that we use to describe Les Fantome Palette. We believe that builds upon the Parisian ideal. So many of our clothes have a “dark metal” feel, even if the piece itself is overly bright or has lighter colors. A great example of this is our “Knitwear + Outwear sweater.” Yes, it’s white and has a bright, bold red “L” on it. However, the anarchy simply is tucked away, neatly near the left armpit.
